Lashes and Brows

Being beautiful is so painful for women. Guys just don’t understand. I remember when I was younger, I would NEVER get my eyebrows done. When I finally decided I needed to do something about these caterpillars, I asked my mom to tweeze them. It was horrible! Every hair she pulled, I reacted with a sneeze & a tear drop. I couldn’t deal with it. So then I tried going to the mall and getting them stringed. It was faster than plucking, but still very painful. I’d hold my breath and my body temperature would rise so high! Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, I tried to use a razor and nearly shaved off my entire eyebrow. That’s when I decided to wax them. While it’s still painful, it’s quick and easy. It’s a shame it took almost three years to figure out how to get my eyebrows done. The only thing these many, many processes had in common was that they left my eye brows thin and unhealthy. I’ve recently bought a new product from MaryKay called MaryKay Lash & Brow Building Serum. I was mainly focused on my eyebrows but I thought I’d put it on my eyelashes too, as a plus to fully try out the product. See the results for yourself! Covering & Concealing

Covering & Concealing

The top picture is before make-up, the bottom picture is after make-up. My freckles are practically invisible.

Beautiful -a word with no real definition -but somehow everyone wants to be it. Covering and concealing every flaw on your face. When we’re young, everyone’s opinion matters besides our own. My mom is 100% Spanish (Puerto Rican & Venezuelan) and my dad is 100% White (Irish and French). So I guess that would make me 50/50. I’m not very tan and I have freckles and beauty marks all over my face- which is normal from the white half of me, but really unusual for the Spanish half of me. I am not at all insecure about my freckles or beauty marks but I thought I’d show you guys how wonderful the MaryKay concealers and foundations are. I put the Ivory 1 (light-colored) Concealer over my freckles and beauty marks with my Concealer Brush. I then take the Ivory 5 TimeWise Liquid Foundation which is infused with vitamin E and a blend of peptides that make your skin look healthier, younger and firmer. It’s perfect for reducing the appearance of pores, fine lines, wrinkles and skin imperfections. I apply it all over my face with Cosmetic Sponges. Lastly, because my face is so oily and make-up will literally wash itself off my face, I use the Beige 0.5 Mineral Powder Foundation to suck up the moisture on my face. Then I just spray my face with the Make-up Finishing Spray to keep the makeup on my face all day until I wash it off. MaryKay has 23 different skin-perfecting colors. I only use three different colors because I like to lighten my dark spots- and darken my light spots so my skin looks one tone. I hope I am able to help you guys feel more confident because confidence is beauty. Acne and Blemishes

Everyone thinks being young is easy. Not having wrinkles or saggy skin & acne being the worst of our issues. I don’t have bad acne like my parents did when they were younger. That definitely didn’t happen by chance. I like to wear makeup. Even though I do believe natural beauty is the best kind of beautiful, I just have more self-confidence with makeup, but it clogs your pores. Now I don’t know about you, but when I get acne, I get ACNE! It’s huge and red and extremely noticeable. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve heard every stupid remedy imaginable. I’ve now learned how to really take care of my face. To take care of my skin I use MaryKay’s Clear Proof™ Acne System. First I use the Clarifying Cleansing Gel. I wash my face with the Cleansing Gel, but never with my hands. Imagine all the things you do with your hands and washing them doesn’t make them 100% clean. You definitely don’t want that on your face. So I pour some of the Cleansing Gel onto my MaryKay Skinvigorate™ Cleansing Brush (just like Proactiv’s, but only $50) and wash my face with warm water (to open my pores) then rinse it with cold water (to shrink my pores). It cleans your skin by penetrating and clearing pores, and it gently gets rid of dirt, oil and impurities. Next, I use the Oil-free moisturizer. Washing your face can dry out your skin and cause it to lose a lot of its natural oils. The moisturizer helps hydrate your skin. Lastly, I use the Acne Treatment Gel which helps clear up pimples quickly and helps stop new ones from developing. I only really put it where I get acne the most, which is my nose and chin. I usually wash my face before I go to bed so the other products of the Clear Proof Acne System should be used more during the day in my opinion, but each product in the Acne System can be bought separately if you don’t want everything. I’ve had great results with these products and I have almost flawless skin and I look forward to showing you every product I use.
